I'm listening to 104.3 right now and the audio cutting out. I know this has been mentioned before. Don't they care?

WOMC has had this problem for many months. I had called them to complain about it and I was supposed to get a call from an engineer, that never happened. I guess the Audacy app is more important and over the air radio is now a secondary service. Sad but true.

Sad but true. Corporate radio is more interested in digital and hits to a website than OTA and good programming.

I’m curious as to how much longer before the 70’s will be eliminated from WOMC’s playlist.

Yeah, kinda sucks that Detroit, Motown....does not have an oldies (FM) station anymore.

Can we get CKWW a translator set up on this side of the river somewhere? You know, like K-Love and every other religious outlet? 7000' tall at 250w ought to do it.

I know at some point The 70’s will vanish from most stations playlist, just as the 60’s did 10 or 15 years ago. There seems to be more 90’s titles added recently on 104.3.

A lot of Classic Hits stations still playing handful of late 60s songs. I think the 70s will be here a while

I don’t see the late 60’s tunes going anywhere either.
WOMC doesn’t seem to play any 60’s titles. They haven’t for a while now.

Thanks for the info. I'm currently a fan of www.oldiesbytheyear.com, I also have multiple radio apps such as Gotradio, 113.fm, Listen.fm and Live 365 just too mention a few. Thank God for internet radio.

Why has the station become so bland now?
This was peak era

The station is bland because of the typical conservative tight Audacy playlist. Audacy just simply sucks. The ratings will continue a downward trend. Maybe eventually WOMC will go through a music adjustment or format change. It happened in Chicago with WJMK becoming WBMX a few years ago.

Sure the playlist is bad, but I'm talking about the presentation, the personalities, imaging, etc.
It's not fun anymore

I get it. But, again it comes down to all corporate bullshit that not just Audacy but all big broadcasters are enforcing and that is they want all of us to stream their other products. That’s why traditional radio has become stale and boring. 100 song playlist, the same liners repeated, no personality except during both drive times. I get it. This truly sucks and it forces me to stream other platforms. I must have at least 20 radio apps that I utilize on my phone to listen to what I want to hear instead of the same corporate picked 100 song playlist. Traditional radio no longer has personality.

I agree with all of the sentiments.

It’s not only the same 250 song playlist day after day, but as pointed out, everything surrounding the music too.

It’s no surprise that younger listeners eschew DJ chatter, because interesting content is rarely offered. There is a fantastic aircheck from WOMC in 2008 with Ted Richards on YouTube. Listening to his presentation makes me realize how far we have fallen.

Beau used to be interesting, but he has little to say now, IMO….
