They had shown all the previous games this season, but at 2 pm on 10/28, rather than going into Clemson v NC St. it continued to show weird stuff like "Greatest F1 crashes" and other nonsense. Of course there was no one to call at 2 pm on a Saturday afternoon.

I did find and watch the game via "sketchy stream site" , and it did turn out to be a decent game.

When I called this morning the (curt) receptionist informed me that there was "a format change", which I found shocking, my follow up questions were met with mostly silence and a bad attitude....

Anyone else hear of this? I'm going to call national CW as well, but they are on west coast and aren't taking calls until 10 am PT

Thoughts?

I am thinking that CW still has 1 foot in Southfield with TV 50 and another foot with WADL

Likely who you talk to was someone in Southfield lol

nah, I called WADL direct, their number has always been 586-590-3838
it was answered , thank you for calling Detroit's CW38 (or something like that) - that's why 'format change seemed weird, probably more of a blow-off thing by a bad receptionist

and I did check out WKBD.... just in case there was a mix up and the game was there, but nope - they were doing their own thing.

Format change is a strange way to put it ... but kinda accurate.

Adell has dropped the CW affiliation on Ch. 38.

CW is going to end up on a subchannel. That would mean lower picture quality or kicking off other subchannels for bandwidth.

I'd like to see 20 or 31 pick it up but that's doubtful.

Or maybe a low-powered TV station will pick it up, which would be 3, 15, 18, 19, 23 or 28.

We have something weird over this way. WLAJ (ABC) and WLNS (CBS) do something of a time share. WLNS runs their news on WLAJ, and WLAJ 53.2 has some kind of alternate CW. Strange stuff.

I just checked each of WDIV's subchannels and none of them are airing CW programming. I sense a nasty lawsuit coming out of this (and especially since Nexstar's WJMN abruptly yanked CBS off last year).

Unfortunately the viewers will lose in all this piss-match.

Nbd…… not a fan of Adell and his antics.
