WHNN is kicking DVD's ass on my stereo at the moment. I can't tell.

I heard 50 Cent on there the other day and almost swerved off the road. What is their format exactly? It doesn't seem so long ago when they were dominating. Where are they at now?

50 cent hasn't had a hit in over a decade. How is that CHRish?

An almost 20 year old rap song doesn't fit either format.
But if it works, it works!

I'll stick to the Bounce, lol. I don't want my ears to experience 2021 music mixed with the classics

The current Hot AC/ACHR formula seems to be "out of format" at night. Q104 in Cleveland airs Hip Hop after 10 pm. 99-1 The Mix (WMYX) is getting more out of it's original format. 99-The Mix was just like Sunny 95 in Columbus, More Classic AC than Current, bordering on Adult Hits. Glad to see the mix stepping it up.

So.... Formulas change. People recognize that it's not 1822 anymore.

I guess it's just weird to me because WDVD made it a point for years to tout "without the rap", even editing rap breaks out of songs.

Perhaps adults 20 years ago didn't wanna hear the rap. Now the adults in the demo grew up with these rap songs being major hits. Remember, CHR went heavy rhythmic around 2002 or so. It makes sense.
