Hot 107.5 been off the air since 3pm, been listening to Ohio stations on Adjacent frequencies 107.3 and 107.7 also picking up also another station on 107.5 fading in and out
Hard to believe, but WGPR was briefly a consistent top 5 rated station in the late 1970s, eating 1400 WJLB alive.Heathcliff wrote: ↑Wed Jun 09, 2021 10:21 am 107.5 has always had bad ratings and poor revenue throughout it's whole life. What else is new?
I guess WGPR would really be a "Top Dweller", and that's a problem.Heathcliff wrote: ↑Sun Jun 13, 2021 1:54 am That was like sometime ago but WGPR today, is a bottom dweller.

Most of the stations appealing to the urban market are grouped about 1/3 way up the dial - some listeners don't want to hit the "up" button many times to hear WGPR.

In the meantime, you may listen to 690 as you make your morning commute.radioandtventhusiast wrote: ↑Sun Jun 13, 2021 8:50 pm I'd rather have 107.5 be a classic soul format with a heavy emphasis on Motown, as WOMC doesn't play nearly as much of it as they used to.
