WDIV seems to be airing a greatly out-of-sequence Jeopardy this evening (Dec 1).

Yes! I noticed that too.
In fact, I was just wrapping up my strongly worded complaint to WDIV. I wonder if they flip-flopped the daytime repeat that they rarely even air, and the evening version.

Yeah. According to Jeopardy's website, this isn't the 12/1 episode. Looks like this is a rerun from February of this year.

The skipping of FJ and 10 minutes of commercials was a nice touch.

Seeing the Sarah Palin lookalike as champion was my first clue something was amiss. Then as I was getting all geeked about Final Jeopardy they suddenly cut to network out of the break. I was wondering if I had gone braindead for a couple minutes or sumthin'.

Could be the rerun was because Alex was doing fewer than the 5 per day episodes at the tail end of October, and they are filling the gaps with old episodes in order to get the last Trebek episode to air on Christmas Day.
We may be seeing more repeats this month.
Also, NBC went to commercials and neglected to show Final Jeopardy!

On the Jeopardy website, it showed that the December 1st episode should of been the champion from Monday, and two new contestants. That leads me to believe 'DIV messed up. Especially since they cut Final Jeopardy off. Someone said Oops and pulled the plug on an old episode.

WDIV, not "NBC," made the error in running the incorrect show, and cutting the Final.
Jeopardy is syndicated, not network, programming. The producers have already got the show sequence set into January, after Trebek's last show.
A friend in the Boston market confirmed that we had the wrong show, and mentioned the "blue mohawk" contestant.
Have not seen any comment anywhere from WDIV about any of this, not even a "sorry, oopsie!"

Yes, apparently the rest of the country watched the correct episode.
A week or two ago, WDIV did not air the special tribute from the Jeopardy exec producer.
Channel 4 is starting to become W(Doh!)IV...

Just heard yesterday that the producers of Jeopardy have decided that the weeks of Christmas and New Years will be Best of Trebek episodes of his entire run. The last episode that Trebek recorded will now be shown January 15th

Ok, so that wasn't me. I was loudly WTF'ing at the TV after the 15th commercial.
What made it worse was that there was about 2 minutes of commercials that had ran just seconds before

I'd want that 10 minutes of my life back but I know I'd waste it channel surfing for credible journalism on television.

WTOL ran the correct Jeopardy! episode- spoiler alert- you missed the guy with the blue Mohawk, and Alex wasn't gonna let him pass without giving him crap about the hairstyle, which he blamed on 2020 and the freaky year that it is.
Does WDIV ever run a 'make good' of the episode, at 2am or another oddball time, or in some fashion so that you could record the missed episode?
