Kim Russell getting the interview

Kim Russell was chasing the 'evil state GOP thwarting the will of the people' story for today's broadcast, and got sent to the GOP press conference.
They moved the conference indoors, so she busted out the "I am preggers and can't go inside with a group" and it worked. She got an interview with the chairman.
I am sort of impressed, sort of stunned. But it worked, so I guess that is the end goal. So maybe more impressed...

Lot of drama and some scare tactics to get her way. I guess whatever works, she got her interview, great for her and the station. She's highly aggressive and got her way bottom line.

She is pregnant, it is a high risk pregnancy, and those fools won't wear masks and social distance. KR is tough and fearless but she won't risk her baby going into a press scrum during a pandemic.

But she’ll risk working full time in a stressful environment instead of getting the required rest for a high-risk pregnancy. Got it, Skippy.
All I know about her pregnancy, and how high risk it may be, is from this thread.
Reading strictly what I see here, I ponder how are the benefits at Broadcast House? Does she need to work?
Seems in these days of Covid, I would hope and pray that the station offers generous perks that would allow a mom with an upcoming bundle of joy to be able to stay home and minimize the risk of exposure to the virus. Seems both yourself and me feel continuing to stay in the field, whether by choice or not, seems odd.
But like I said, all I know of this is what I'm reading here. I know and trust station management would be better informed than myself and make the right call on when to let Ms. Russell stay home.

Kim is an excellent journalist. Networks take note.

I'd say the jury's still out on that one. I've seen some good and some not-so-good from her, but don't watch her enough to have made a conclusion myself yet.

At times her body language is downright bizarre.

Kim is fantastic. She can make her own decisions as to what is safe for her and her pregnancy. If she feels it is still safe for her to work, then I think the rest of us should trust and respect her decision. If she is working and she feels a specific situation is too dangerous for her and her pregnancy, then she is capable of making arrangements to still be able to do her job while keeping herself and her unborn baby safe. It sounds like that’s exactly what she did in this situation.
On a side note, Ronna McDaniel is a clown. She is the perfect example of a person who is only in her position because of her privilege but really believes she’s there because of her hard work and intelligence.
When someone grows up with no one telling them no, they will think they’re always right.

Lou, there's no doubt she's a fine reporter. What some on here are pondering why, in these days of Covid, is she is out chasing stories.

They settled the case for a reason. Same exec also purportedly went after Carrie Sharp and she was an anchor

wasn't treated differently because she's a woman???
The allegation is that she refused the advances so she was assigned to walk alone every morning at 3am from the surface parking lot to the mini studio for no real reason other than payback.
There was a settlement and she was hired by another station pretty quick. I drew a conclusion from that

What advances? The way I read the article she was assigned to the station's downtown location "uncomfortable" walking to/from her car because she was a woman. Did they only assign women to work downtown, or did men also get assigned there? The case wasn't "sexual harassment", it was "gender discrimination"

The conclusion being she was right?
