Another year of Price adding nothing and eating on the air. So painful to listen to.

Can't listen to him or Dickerson. I have satellite radio and listen to the tigers opponent play by play. Much better

Must be baseball season.

This is a thread every year...whatever happened to the thread on Shay's sweater puppies? That was more interesting than Price eating chips.

It would be nice if Price would take a cue from his predecessors in the radio booth and step away while he's still on top of his game, but he's never been on top of his game to begin with. Pity the poor sponsors who pay for those advertisements that he mumbles through so fast that they can't be deciphered. I can't believe we've dealt with this crap for 22 years.

When Andy Dirks filled in for Price last year for a few games, he was fantastic. If they were to make a change I would like to see Andy get that job.

I heard this morning that Price is not doing any of the road games this spring training season, no reason given. My guess is health reasons.

I heard the broadcast over the last weekend and Price sounded terrible like he was sick with a cold or something. If he can't do road games in sunny Florida than he certainly can't do road games when the season starts.

I heard the game today and Price's voice sounded like that of a fragile elderly person. I know he is older and his health has been quite shaky, but it really hit me today that his voice aged 10 years over the winter.

Spring must be coming soon when the annual Jim Price sucks thread comes.

Jim is giving great analysis today: laughing at every home run, along with a mouth full of food. Love the loud thud of him hitting the mic before the inning ends.

How is he still employed?

he is AWFUL!!! I remember during the contending years of the recent past how he would suck any excitement out of any broadcast. The tigers were in the conversation for being a World Series contender and he turned what was an exciting time into a snoozer and a mockery with his stupid catch phrases, “that’s right, Dan”, mumbling through sponsorship reads, heavy breathing and eating on the damn air

Long time reader, first time poster. This thread has kept me laughing for years. It is nice to see that I'm not the only one who finds Price unlistenable! My favorite (least favorite) of his catch phrases would have to be 'aw boy'.
