Clearly a poor decision, as were all his future decisions concerning 12. JF openly criticized PV in front of the entire news dept for firing JB. He was shown the door. Money had nothing to do with that.

GM was sent to one of the most prestigious sports event in the county to do live coverage. He never reported a thing. Why? Because he was called back from his assignment and immediately released. Even someone as ill prepared to be a general manager as PV wouldn't do that because he made too much money. It was for something else.
