Another horrendous book for Q105

A place to go for those of you who wish to discuss happenings in OH, IN, IL, WI, and Ontario. OSU sucks, by the way.

It's been that low before. The reason they kept going between Hot AC and Adult CHR, as "Star." Then they changed the moniker. But remember, it's not just overall ratings 12+, it may stay as is because of various P1's and P2 demos in various dayparts. Changing morning shows did not help them.

A couple of people I know want them to try the soft rock format like 94.9 in Cinci and Love 105, who has their old call letters.

Also remember this- Q105 is taking some numbers, overall and dayparts from Kiss (92.5, not 93.9) and maybe a couple of listeners from The River. I know ladies are not crazy about Ryan Secrest's sexual accusations, so they listen to Q105 instead of 92.5 Kiss FM. Many ladies are upset that he is still on. Now, they still have Q105 as an option.

They could move the talk format from 100.7 and bring back The Zone yet again...

How in the world did IOT gain so much? It sounds as stale as ever.

All they seem to do with 105.5 every few years is tweak, Hot ac, AC, bright ac, etc... . I want to say they have been in the low 2's, a 2.2 I dunno. Honestly, it's time to blow the MF'er up and put er in stunt mode.

Seriously though, there are 3 roads to go down:

1. Bring back the star 105 name and go soft ac.

2. Go rock. Like 93.9 is in Indy

3. Flip to Urban AC, as 95.7 usually has really good numbers.

I won't even get started on 106.5 the Shiticket. I am kind of curious where 107.7 actually stands.

I noticed that too, they almost doubled! Rock stations usually do better in spring and summer than fall and winter, but still. And XKR was up too so it's not like they're stealing listeners from them.

Also noticed SPD up for the first time in a long, long time.

Both of the sports stations got the shitty ratings those cheaply run, piss poor operations deserve.

Right! On my way and on the way back from Kentucky, a few weeks ago. I checked out 96.5, it obviously reminded me a lot of the new 93.9. I've always over looked 96.5 for some reason or another. With IOT ridding as high as they are, it would be an interesting choice.

It's hard to tell without the breakdowns but it looks like this was a male heavy sample. That won't do any favors for a station that just launched a new morning show. That being said, it's rough to see a station w/ such a great signal dancing around in the mud 12+ with rim shots and translators. Credit where credit is due, the station sounds worlds better than it has within the last 10 years. I don't think it will do the signal any favors to make any changes for a few books. Let the dust settle, that signal has been a mess for a LONG time. (IMHO)

To answer a post above, bring back the zone? Not gonna happen. Still, for the life of me, I don't know why there still so hell bent on keeping the shiticket. 100.7 will stay talk as there using it to clear all the syndicated junk for the market. Heck, do something H*** and blow up to signals at once. Launch rock on 105.5 and soft ac on 106.5 ha ha

I’m still like in the idea of a Soft AC as Warm 105.5.
WRVF really needs a true competitor in the glass city.

Warm 105, WWWM Sylvania/Toledo. Imagining sort of like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2NYQc8MSuQU

"Toledo You found us! Your at work station, Warm 105" " No obnoxious DJ's or stuff you don't want the kids to hear" "

"Have Lunch on us, enter your office in the warm 105 lunch club, for a free catered lunch from Subway, ever week we will cater a lunch to 1 lucky office in the Toledo area. Last week Dr. hall's orthodontist care in Perrysburg was the winner, earlier this month Kauffman's office supply in Oregon won a free lunch from Warm 105, enter to be the next one to have lunch on us"

" Does another station make you feel like you are drowning, in music that's too loud for the office or around the house?, make the switch to warm 105."

I like WARM 1055. 101.5 is way too "loud" for the office any more, and 93.5 jumped the shark with 80's music, and the only 60's are repeated 10x daily, so blow it up and go as there is NO office station in Toledo other than 101.5-HD3, but it has a 100 song playlist.

It will never happen... makes too much sense.

Why was WJLB counted in the 6+? Usually stations in adjacent markets don't get counted, you don't see Cleveland stations in the Akron book and vice versa.

The problem for 105.5 isn't in the 6+ or 12+ we see... I betcha they're getting beat by KISS pretty badly in the key demo. Fact of the matter is, they've always looked and sounded like the #2 CHR in the market. Soft AC at least gives them something to pair with WRQN (and to a much lesser extent, WXKR) in the older department. It should happen, but Cumulus Toledo is too much of a hot mess that the most common sense move won't happen.
I have no need for Boring McGraphics, tyvm
