Do you know when that photo was taken? It looks recent.
It was a couple months ago. If I had to give a guess on a month, I would say no older than November of 2023
So after the surgery. Thanks. I saw him in December & he looked pretty similar.

"Talkin' Baseball"
My first trip to Tiger Stadium in 1978 was also my first personal encounter with Ron Cameron. Saw him over in the outfield bleachers with one of his friends.

I don’t speak for us Ron’s “buzzboard”’ posters but you may have gained buzzboard listeners

And my first personal encounter with Ron was circa 1974 when I went to Pistons game at Cobo Arena with my eldest sister. We sat a row in front of Ron, who was with a group of 3-4 friends. As I overheard him talking, I immediately recognized his voice from his early radio days on WWJ & he was so tickled to be recognized. A "celebrity" among his friends.

Hey, do you guys have "Baseball Card Lover"? I think I've got that on a Rhino compilation called "The Worst Records of All Time". Thanks!
Great show... thanks for honoring the legend known as Ron Cameron.
Looking forward to next week!

Yes, Ron had a work ethic. Nowadays, as he would note, nobody wants to work.
