Plus another 50k (?) lost in the great wipe out a few years back.
Ron Cameron
Re: Ron Cameron
I know I’ve been somewhat hard on Ron in the past, but I’m really feeling for Scoop this week, what with him having to equally prepare for the possibility of either Dick Tracewski or Ray Scott as his guest on Sunday. Add that to coming up with an all-“F” baseball team & that’s really a lot on his plate. I doubt he’s even had time to enjoy the “Match Game” this week.
Re: Ron Cameron
To help out, I will offer that Ron can ask Trixie if he preferred coaching first base or third base.Momo wrote: ↑Thu Jun 09, 2022 8:39 am I know I’ve been somewhat hard on Ron in the past, but I’m really feeling for Scoop this week, what with him having to equally prepare for the possibility of either Dick Tracewski or Ray Scott as his guest on Sunday. Did he have doubts about making it to he majors? He spent nine years in Dodgers minor league system before his mlb debut on April 12,1962, at age 27.

Dave asked about the "class acts" that Anne Doyle worked with at Channel 2. She mentioned Joe Glover, Beverly Payne, and Ray Lane, but for some reason she didn't mention one of her other co-workers—Jim Price. What fun it would have been if she had brought Price's name up.

Re: Ron Cameron
It will be interesting to see if Jim Price's name comes up. Both Price and Tracewski were real "company men," and worked for the Tigers at the same time for many years, but took different paths to achieve that.Majik wrote: ↑Thu Jun 09, 2022 10:42 amTo help out, I will offer that Ron can ask Trixie if he preferred coaching first base or third base.Momo wrote: ↑Thu Jun 09, 2022 8:39 am I know I’ve been somewhat hard on Ron in the past, but I’m really feeling for Scoop this week, what with him having to equally prepare for the possibility of either Dick Tracewski or Ray Scott as his guest on Sunday. Drove by the Allen Park Motor Lodge today. It was tempting to stop in and see if Ron was working the desk as part of his lodging. It’s not everyday you meet a legend such as Ronnie C!

Buzz Board, I’ll be live tonight at 5. Would be great to hear from you!
Re: Ron Cameron
I always get a surreal feeling when I'm in "Cameron Country," for example, a restaurant that he's advertised. I suddenly realize that Ron is a real person and not just the main character in a radio parody of a sports talk show.
Re: Ron Cameron
I tried to listen through the Roku Audacy app on my TV, but after five minutes of commercials I gave up.Warriorstrong13 wrote: ↑Sat Jun 11, 2022 3:44 pm Buzz Board, I’ll be live tonight at 5. Would be great to hear from you!
Re: Ron Cameron
Will Mark Wilson ever grace Ron’s airwaves again? I know that Ron has said that Mark’s dealing with some family health crisis, but, as always with Ron, color me skeptical since I also recall Ron attributing Mark’s prior long absence to the Cova.

Re: Ron Cameron
If it’s Ray Scott as a guest tonight, I can’t wait to hear the JFK story on how Ray Scott offered Ron a place to stay when he was stuck when the pistons game was canceled. Very riveting shorty
As always, I am sure will be a entertaining night of sports radio

Re: Ron Cameron
It's once again time for Ron to raise his flag and see who salutes:
Will Cowboy try to get a rise out of Ron by mentioning that Donald Trump turns 76 on Tuesday?
If Cowboy mentions this Friday's 50th anniversary of the Watergate break-in, will Ron immediately start talking about the many times that motel maids have broken into his room to steal phone numbers?
What baseball team will Ron talk about the most—the Detroit Tigers or the Philadelphia Phillies?
After the recent Yankees/Tigers series in which the games were televised on three different networks, has Ron started searching for a motel that carries Apple+, Bally Sports, Peacock, and (of course) Buzzr TV?
When Kurt names Bob Feller to his All F Team, will Ron spend the next ten minutes telling all of his Bob Feller stories?

So who do we think will be Ron's guest tonight:
(a) Dick Tracewski
(b) Ray Scott
(c) Jim Leyland
(d) Bob Delaney
(e) None of the above
