Plus, Congress is only in session about 150 days a year (usually 3 days a week Tue-Thu) so there's still plenty of time to see far away relatives for a few days.

The breaks in the schedule aren't supposed to be off days for Congress, they're all intentionally built in on so that reps can be working in their district.

While that intent has been ignored by the House as of late, it shouldn't be forgotten.

While he can rightfully claim his advice likely led to some improvement in manufacturing processes, he most certainly did not "save" the industry.

Ironically, the self proclaimed quality control guru seemed over his head when collecting petition signatures to get on the ballot four years ago. Recall that the contractors used by he and some other GOP candidates were found to have committed fraud.

If Terri DeBoer gets to the November election, I’m confident she will do a great job of reading whatever her GOP handlers put in front of her on a teleprompter or the paper they hand to read for radio ads. I expect the GOP will make sure she’s always available for some softball Rick Albin interviews and speeches to very friendly audiences regularly avoiding questions like “Do you support President Trump” since Trump lost in Kent County in 2024.
