An observation I made re: Trump signs

I think there only about 10 Harris signs in my entire county.

Afraid the Trump supporting lunatics will burn their house down.

Maybe they are afraid of illegals dropping by uninvited.

Interesting thought... The realignment the country is going through is putting folks with decent jobs and college degrees in the Democrats column and the working class in the Republicans column. Those are the new bases for the two parties. So I think that accounts for some of what Mega Hertz and MCRF reported seeing.

I would worry if a yard sign was capable of changing a voters mind. Most of the Trump signs I see are in front of houses, not homes, or in bro dozer lifted coal burning pickups. On second thought they could well change minds away from him.

I have never put out lawn signs or banners in the yard... or political bumper stickers on my car. It just makes you an easy mark. It's a shame things are so polarizing these days.

A house is somewhat ramshackle and slightly rundown. A home has a well kept yard and in general is in good shape. Those were the places I have seen Harris signs. I too don't put signs or bumper stickers for the exact same reason.

That’s what I thought… my home is in good shape.. but my home has the lawn of a house sadly. It’s hard to keep up with it sometimes. Those plants do what they want.

AP Had a pretty good story focused on Michigan about what I would consider the big winner in the sign wars... no signs. People are afraid to put them out. Often times you will see other local candidates signs. I think that can give some insight into a (likely) direction for the top of the ticket if they don't skip it or something:

“CHARLEVOIX COUNTY, Mich., (WPBN/WGTU) — A 27-year-old Charlevoix man was arrested for larceny after police allegedly found 72 stolen political campaign signs at a home on Tuesday.

Prosecuting Attorney Christopher Tholen said an “adjacent county” has recently been investigating several thefts of signs.

Tholen said the sign with the Apple AirTag was stolen on Monday and was tracked to a residence in Charlevoix County on Tuesday.

“Police executed a search warrant at that residence and found 72 political campaign signs within that home—all advocating for the same presidential candidate,” Tholen said. “The resident of that home was found to drive a vehicle that matches a vehicle shown on camera stealing the campaign sign.”

The resident, a 27-year-old Charlevoix man, was arrested on larceny charges, as well as charges of concealing stolen property.

Tholen said that while police were at the residence, the man’s aunt arrived at the home.

“She was interviewed by police and stated that she had told the man that she would pay him $10 for each sign he took that belonged to the presidential candidate. She claimed that this was a ‘joke,’” Tholen said”
