I was just in the neighborhood by Mt Elliott and E Vernor Highway a few weeks ago, I imagine some of those buildings won't be rebuilt.

This tornado was fairly close to densely packed, two story, old construction residences in Hamtramck, and it also narrowly missed GM Factory Zero.

I can hear the Brighton high band, football is in season and it's 90 degrees lol
Did Thursday's activity rise to "badass" level in your neck of the woods?

There are still numerous power outages in the north part of Southfield, Beverly Hills, Birmingham and the northern part of Royal Oak.

Over 80,000 DTE customers still lack power.

No. I wanted light and sounds. Not whipping ass winds. We got slapped around pretty good.

There's still business closures and businesses running at half or quarter capacity. A plaza at Grand River and Old 23 only has a smoke shop open because they have no internet and no A/C.

Telegraph south of 13 mile had zero stoplights yesterday. That area is a nightmare as it is.

Seemed like Macomb county was good upon my travels there today.

Still 75,000 DTE outages. What anemic progress!

I'd love to see someone FOIA the company on its claim that 4000 crews are in the field right now (I am unsure if a regulated utility is subject to FOIA, but the MPSC can certainly demand records). I suspect DTE is lying to the public.

Unfortunately since it’s private it isn’t directly subject to FOIA. So the MPSC and various federal entities that regulate it would have to be the ones to do the heavy lifting if they chose.

Isn't Dana Nessel suing DTE for raising rates. I agree DTE sucks as a utility power company glad I don't have them in Kazoo. Pretty much missed the storms other than Fri morning and late Fri/early Sat I'd say it was just a garden type storm, the last round had a warning only saw a flash of lighting and didn't hear rain at 2:10AM it expired early was going to about 2:45AM.
