The FCC may be calling after Ron let his guest swear on the air.
Re: Ron Cameron
This crime story has too many elements for Ron to follow.

Well that wraps up this week, Mark wilson next week, he is a positive for sure
Re: Ron Cameron
Did the subject of Labor Day ever come up last night? If so, I missed it. As I alluded to, last year, Kurt mentioned reports that the Covid-shortened season might not start until Memorial Day. Our intrepid Scoop’s response? “When is that?”
Re: Ron Cameron
I've been tempted to do a parody of "Maria" from West Side Story titled "Gabe Kapler," but it kept going in some strange directions, so I scrapped it.
Re: Ron Cameron
Maybe “Torn Between Two Lovers” would be a good launching pad.

No, I don’t think there was any holiday reference talk at all and here I was thinking it would be a special holiday edition
Re: Ron Cameron
I've told this story before, but it bears repeating since it relates to Ron not exactly being oriented to time & space.
When he had his Friday morning (9-11) show on WPON, he almost never had guests & just had a handful of callers, so he would rely on his faux "insurance company" callers (& "their" oh so softball questions) to kill time. Per this bit of fiction, the callers - & they always were given a different name & a city of residence - weren't allowed to call in during the show, but could before the show began (I imagined a workplace of rows & rows of workers, each passing along their questions to the head of the row, & someone whose job was to go to the end of each row to collect the questions). When his show one year fell on Xmas, I wondered if he would be aware enough to not try & pull off this stunt on this day. But sure enough - while never mentioning that it was Xmas - he was not. So I called & said that I now knew the name of the insurance company. It was, I said, the Scrooge Company. Not only were they required to work on Xmas, I added, but even on this day they weren't allowed to call in during the show. A flummoxed Ron quickly changed the subject.

I wonder how much airtime Ron will dedicate to his boy and future HOF'er Jake Rogers getting Tommy John surgery. Rogers will miss all of 2022. I'm sure Ron has sent flowers to him to pick up his spirits.

Re: Ron Cameron
WDTK apparently is using a previous description of Ron's show on its website. Either that or changes are on the way that even Ron doesn't know about, as he said he would be on for three hours next week on last week's show. From WDTK's website: "Ron Cameron is a long-time Active Mmeber of the DSBA. He is the host of Sports Talk heard on The Patriot Detroit FM 101.5 / AM 1400 Saturdays/Sundays from 5:00p - 7:00p. Ron has worked in the Detroit, Florida and California media markets and also has owned restaurants in his busy career. He can be reached at: cameronsportstalk@yahoo.com"
Re: Ron Cameron
I'm looking forward this weekend to a deep-dive into Ron's memories of 9/11. I'm imaging the discussion would fall somewhere within this pendulum (sorry, no video is available):
