My overarching point is that society needs to stop gasping in shock when it happens and figure out how to steer people away from that sort of thing. Acting shocked and investing nothing into the problem and figuring it out is beyond moronic.

This is terrible. I wonder if any of these predators were sexually assaulted by cloistered men in a homophobic society that protects them from criminal prosecution.

These people will be tried and convicted if guilty. They don't have a giant political organization to intimidate them and their parents or protect them. When any school official is made aware of an accusation of abuse, they are required to contact CPS or face criminal prosecution.

Oh, so it's only serious if it's covered up. Got it. So allowing it to happen daily and doing nothing to fix it other than to report abuse after it happens (assuming it even comes to light in most situations) is totally fine. I stand corrected.
