Ok, since Kamala was gifted the nomination July 21, polling shows she has brought up the percentage of people who “ think the country is going in the right direction”, from 25% to 29%. After an initial lift, She has settled back down and barely moved the needle from a doddering senile Joe Biden “we finally beat Medicare”.

So, on that basis of hugely successful “joy and vibes”, I guess she’s got a clear path to electoral success with her chosen approach of
“ I’m not going to change a thing from what joe Biden is doing”.

However, Presidential historian/professor Alan lichtman has maintained his prediction model for presidential electoral success shows Dems hold 8 of 13 keys to the success of his model.

I kinda agree with the Shapiro comment. I think MW and I agreed at that time if she loses Pennsylvania, that would have been the decision that did it. We shall see I guess.

I have no idea why this is your final post as we head into the most telling, pivotal, and interesting weeks of the campaign. Probably just your inner seven year old taking over.

While I will somewhat begrudgingly vote for Harris, I wish like crazy a mainstream, viable third party or independent candidate were on the ballot.

I voted for Hillary very begrudgingly in 2016 because of my nervousness regarding Trump.

Prior to 2016, I voted Republican for President, Governor, MI Secretary of State, MI Attorney General, U.S. Senate and U.S. Congress 100 percent of the time. I cannot recall a State Senate race where I ever voted Democrat, either.

I actually did vote for Trump in 2020 but soon after regretted that decision given his disgusting behavior following the election, and in particular, the actions on January 6.

So, I am a great example of a white collar, college educated person who has traditionally voted Republican that now holds an unsavory view of the GOP thanks to the direction Trump has taken the party.

Kamala Harris seems to be campaigning more frequently with Liz Cheney lately than with her own running mate! At least that seems to be the case in purple / purplish states such as Michigan.

It’s a smart play it also allows both of them to hit different swing states at the same time… so really you have Bill Clinton, Obama, Harris/Cheney and Walz working different areas at once. Trump and Vance are rarely together it should be noted too.
