Plenty of neutral observers with no dog in the U-M / Ohio State / MSU fight have opined Beck's scheme is an issue. It worked very well in Utah with THEIR personnel; no one is doubting that. It is not a good fit with the skill set of his current players.

So whose fault is that? Whittingham is the head coach and brought Beck with him. Doesn't the buck stop there?

Crazy to me Marshall apologized for the comments, but nobody seems to be concerned who leaked them or what that says about the team discipline or chemistry. Are there any adults in this room? Not Michigan.

Marshall posted the remarks on publicly viewable social media pages, I thought.

Yes, Whittingham absolutely deserves criticism. Trust me, he's received a ton. Fans on the Michigan Wolverines reddit page have been ripping him apart.

I thought there was some sort of chat between a few players that was supposed to stay that way. You know the situation better than I do, so I'll defer to you.

The reality is that you have a lot of talent on the offense AND we're headed into a bye week. This is where we'll learn if both the players and the coaches can show resilience and get back on track. There is plenty of time to right the ship this season. I'm not of the opinion that the sky is falling not am I of the opinion that everything is fine. I think Whittingham thought he was walking into a turnkey operation and is a bit shell shocked at the moment.
