It was a dud in Kazoo as well only rained for 10 or 15 minutes max and by 5PM the sun was back out. It was spotty there was reports of trees down in a couple of counties.

I received the tiniest sprinkle here around 6PM yesterday.
Very little rain in the forecast coupled with four to perhaps five straight days of sultry temps next week will wreak havoc with vegetation. There will be plenty of yellow to brown grass to go around, I suspect.
Latest TWC forecast is now calling for seven straight days of highs ranging from 92 to 97, starting this Monday, but that's likely overdone. Their forecast models do not always do a good job detecting frontal / storm systems beginning in day 5.
AccuWeather shows high temps moderating to the mid or upper 80s by next Friday.
NWS is going 97-95-95-96-94 Monday to Friday at Metro. Lows of 70-74-74-71-72… not much nighttime relief.
TV stations like to ratchet up the panic. Hey...It's Michigan....sometimes it gets hot in the summer. Just like in January when it's 10 above, with a wind chill of -20 and snowing. It's Michigan....we know how to deal with this.

We haven’t had this sort of stretch above 95 for this long since 2002. So this is a rare event and part of their job is to warn people to stay inside… at these levels heat related illnesses can happen in a red hot hurry.

Todays check of the upcoming forecast isn’t quite as severe..
95-94-91-94-92 Monday to Friday.
Where are you getting your numbers? I still see 97, 95, 94, 95, and 94 on Accuweather. Either way, glad to see it reduced. I think the main concerning piece is the fact that it's supposed to be 90+ for two weeks(as of now according to my app).

The right needs to stop worry about what’s between people’s legs. Instead, they should focus on what’s between their ears.

NWS and as I’m 2 miles north of the airport the figures are for Metro.

The only heat stretch like this I remember is from 1988 when I was 5. I remember laying on the linoleum it was so hot. We had window a/c at the time.

1988 is infamous for that and I guess it just kind of stopped raining for a while and we got a bit of a drought out of it.
