Power was restored here around 3 this afternoon. That's pretty quick for around here, also considering the conditions.

That said, I'm a little worried about everything icing over again. 29 tonight?

TC got maybe 5" of snow. The drive to Grand Rapids this afternoon was wet 36⁰ and overcast. The roads are dry in G.R.

I admit, I am let down, but it will be 85 and sunny tomorrow.

There's another nearly identical, albeit projected to be slightly weaker and slightly warmer storm headed our way Monday.

My power in Whitmore Lake has been out since 11am yesterday. I'm not optimistic about getting it back on before Monday, so I'm staying with family in Lansing for the weekend (possibly longer if the power isn't restored).
I did notice WUOM as well as WAAM's 92.7 translator and Spring Arbor's 98.3 were all knocked off the air yesterday. I had WDZZ and the White Lake K-Love translator all booming in clear as a bell. WUOM was restored pretty quickly.

What is the "right" temperature for Earth?
Snow in the mountains outside LA yesterday and 80 in Washington DC tow days ago, but it's normal. LOL.

DTE still has 350K out. VERY bad timing for them proposing a 10% increase in rates. I say this as someone who worked there. It's embarrassing. This is the worst storm response. Back in 2017, there were 510K out due to the March wind storm, and this storm was slightly more. I was affected and had my power out for around 72 hours and got back up Saturday afternoon. Almost 90% of people were restored within that 3 day period. Ironically, that was also a Wednesday storm.

I started to see ice forming a little after 3PM on the pine tree branches in the back of the condo sunroom and the tree at the kitchen window saw ice building as well didn't see the street having ice. I lost power 8PM Wed got power restored 4:45PM I stayed with a family member when they got power back it went out in the early morning Thur they got a motel room then the power came back on for them they didn't have cable that went out during the heart of the storm. Just could watch movies on DVD's all movied out LOL 4 at home the last one was at the movie theater I saw Antman pretty good movie seen all 3.

34% of Kazoo county was without power during the heart of the storm the west side of Kazoo got half an inch of ice on the trees saw a lot of tree branches on the side of the roads/streets there were a few pine tree branches that fell in the back of the condo I heard a couple of them fell trying to get to sleep which was tough to do as I don't like sleeping in the dark. Bill Steffen's blog said Portage got over an inch of ice.

Both Consumers & DTE should work together to restore power after a major ice storm like a few days ago, a little advice to Consumers when the power comes back on/restored they kept saying that power would come back on at 10AM Fri which wasn't the case update that sooner to say there maybe a delay then getting peoples hopes up like my mom who had a meltdown when the message said not until Mon when she had to get more clothes she did see 15 trucks in Walmarts parking lot I knew was going to be restored sooner than Mon.

I'd much rather have snow or rain as I hate ice storms the only other ice storm as bad as this one was Jan 85 no school for a week was without power for 5 or 7 days stayed with my grandparents I was 4 years old at the time. Sorry for this long message/rambling on.

If it were my call, I'd have a winter storm watch in effect for a portion of SE and Mid-Michigan. I do think a winter weather advisory will be in effect for a portion of that area by tomorrow morning.
The Weather Channel says 38. How do you figure? If anything, this advisory is overkill. Only making this call for metro Detroit. North of Flint could definitely have big problems.
