Ron Cameron
Re: Ron Cameron
Most big time hosts have non-compete clauses which prevent them from working in a similar capacity elsewhere during the pendency of their contracts. That’s some good lawyering Ron has.

Sima: That'll be $150 for 57 minutes Ron
Ron: OK, but don't cash the check until Monday, OK?
Re: Ron Cameron
As news spreads like wildfire that Ron will be back .Metro Detroit braces for a party the likes that the city has never seen before.City officals estimate thousands will take to the streets to celebrate the return of their hero.
Re: Ron Cameron
It also includes an email address. Since Ron has never had access to email in his previous stops at WPON, I'll believe it when I see it.ShempLives wrote: ↑Sat May 06, 2023 3:36 pm The new times and place of Sports Talk with Ron Cameron have been announced on his Twitter site.

Wow, you miss a few days, you miss a lot!
I seem recall that WPON streams off the Birach site.

Re: Ron Cameron
WPON is $150 an hour. That would mean $600 per weekend. I believe Sima wants a month in advance, it would be prorated in this case.
WDTK is higher, not sure how much but I would guess $300-$400 per hour.

Sorry I had miss information on Ron's re-arrival to WPON this weekend. Looks like the legend in his own mind will take over the ship next weekend

Wow interesting, makes me wonder more how he turns a profit for himself. I get he sells the ads, I guess AM radio with a handful of listeners has its perks!

I have a feeling, next week when he starts the show he slams the patriot. Does not address why he left and immediately goes into the Tigers PR department
I wonder if Windsor Dave will know where Ron has gone
The hot Detroit Tigers I may add

Re: Ron Cameron
I wonder if Ron will be on his best behaviour? If he blows it at WPON there is no other place to go.He would never be hired at a "real" radio, station, and WDTK would never let him broker there again.Word of advice Ronnie .Be nice to your co workers even, incompetent Martin.
Re: Ron Cameron
Speaking of Ron's Twitter feed, here's a clever little exchange from May 3:
Poster: How many more stations can you work at before retirement?
Ron: Age is just a number, I love what I do for a living.
