I know wwj 62 is hiring all young journalists for their new TV news operation but it would be nice if they hired M.L. Elrick for the investigative reporting part of it. Elrick is an excellent investigative journalist.

A lot of below the line lateral moves are driving the staff salaries up at the 4 local stations.

Sounds like CBS62 is picking up talent from the big three.
That and the great resignation has hit newsrooms particularly Fox 2 in the last year. Newsrooms are poaching talent from their competitors to fill the void and adding a new newsroom in town is causing a bidding war on those without contracts.

Wow! That explains all the secrecy from Paul and CBS62. Not only are they going after the big guns, they probably landed some, but are being quiet about it.

The on air talent are under contract with non compete clauses, assignment editors, writers and producers are the ones being poached.
