Lackluster turnout for democrats being is one reason, and some moderates who chose Trump, even though he IS extreme, is why he won. Forget the die hards. I do believe democrats have room to move more left and definitely with more energy. It makes a hell of a lot more sense for AOC to make a Senate run for Schumer's seat. She has a much larger chance of successfully moving through progressive policies in Congress than she would from the White House. Let her build up a track record of success in Congress before making that White House run.
