A little off-topic, but why didn't space farce just blast off and rescue our starliner crew? Tom Swift would be back already with them! >:

That’s because Trump created Air Force not Space Force. He revised my knowledge with that at one of his rallies. :lol

I’m saying it’s been a theme for Republicans since Reagan. They’ve all added more to the debt than their Democratic counterparts save HW Bush who didn’t add much. Trump was no different. Tax cuts without spending cuts have a major role in that.
FIFY
Nobody on either side of the aisle is gonna cut spending… we have 42 years of evidence of that. Trickle down and cut taxes and reduce services… none of it works except written on some cocktail napkin somewhere.
Trump says that Elon Musk will.
Beat me to it :lol

It might work...time will tell.

Elon said he would be a volunteer: no pay, or title.
I'll save you the time - it won't work. The government already has Inspectors General, 74 to be exact, with the expertise on the various departments and agencies to which they and their teams are assigned to oversee. Elon Musk isn't going to come in with industry experience and apply it to the vast albatross that is the United States government and be able to make a positive, transformational change that benefits all Americans. There are different goals for governmental entities and a for-profit enterprise.

One strategy would be picking secretaries from the ranks of career employees where deep expertise of the department resides rather than just using the appointments to reward political hacks.

You must work for the government.

I don't, but I deal with various departments enough to have a pretty good understanding of how it functions.

So do I, and I think government supports government.

Yeah but what Matt described is exactly what you would do. Conservatives, well wait, MAGA’s goal is to destabilize everything so the private sector can swoop in and charge us 3 times as much to get our street plowed or water main fixed.

I'm anxiously awaiting Audiophile's report on today's employment report when the data is available.

How will I learn about the jobs data if Audiophile doesn't post it?

Trickle down economics does not work. Bidenomics does not work. Reaganomics was not all that great. Carter's stagflation did not work. We need to find something that DOES work.

Audiophile refused to post this information. They didn't think it was relevant: https://www.reuters.com/markets/us/us-j ... 024-10-04/
WASHINGTON, Oct 4 (Reuters) - U.S. job gains increased by the most in six months in September and the unemployment rate fell to 4.1%, pointing to a resilient economy that likely does not need the Federal Reserve to deliver large interest rate cuts for the rest of this year.

In addition to the bigger-than-expected increase in nonfarm payrolls reported by the Labor Department on Friday, wages rose at a solid pace last month. The closely watched employment report also showed the economy added 72,000 more jobs in July and August than previously estimated.
Audiophile is very dishonest. They need to reconsider their Kkkristian nationalism.
