That is partially true RT. Covid lockdowns disrupted a lot of things that will never return.

The slowdown we have been hoping for hit in July. The bigger story is the strength of the Yen and interest rates in Japan and how that impact currency investors. The Nikei 12% drop overnight spooked Wall Street.

If today triggers a magrin call, the dow will drop again. It's also an election year. Gird you loins.

COVID lockdowns have nothing to do with investing today. Give me a break.

I've seen today compared to 1987. Shortly after that, a sitting VP was elected.

Interesting. Also realize it was about due for a correction.

The S&P 500 is down -3% so far today, or up only +9% so far through 2024, up +14% over the past twelve months, or +55% since Trump left office.
There are always course corrections when it goes too high, too fast.

Like '87? I think not. For 4 years Trump kept saying that the rising stock market meant that the economy was doing well. So by that standard the last 3.5 years have been excellent. Why all the complaining by some.

Last time I looked the Nikki (jap) is UP 10% after the 12% loss yesterday.

As stock markets plummet, ask yourself: Do you really want Harris running the economy? (USA TODAY)

The bigger issue I have, has Harris ever created a job that wasn't on the taxpayer's dime? If not, she's just another ambulance chaser.

Then the supposed "Border Czar" does this: https://www.whitehouse.gov/briefing-roo ... l-america/ What a failure!

You are supporting a serial adulterer and alleged rapist. Maybe sit out throwing rocks at the other candidate.

Harris is also a serial adulterer and thug prosecutor, because when she got what she wanted from willie*, she messaged him if he so much as jaywalked, he would be indicted.

Both are narcissists.

If you're going to get a narcissist, I'd take the one fighting for your country.

Harris seems to more concerned about Central America Jobs than US ones, but as that turns out despite her claims, it was lousy replacement for a border wall.

There must be a lot of investors sweating bullets. Schwab's smartphone app is down right now.
A friend of mine gave me some wise advice once… While everyone else panics and sells it’s a good time to buy since it will eventually go back up.
That worked for me after the the dot.com bubble burst and during the housing crisis and during the pandemic...
