I never liked him but man could they have waited until after Christmas? I hate when folks get fired before Christmas if its not needed right away.

There must be a lot of people searching for the story at the theoaklandpress.com and reading the old article "Jason Carr lands at Channel 4 after Fox 2 departure" which is second on their ten most popular list today.

I can't understand all of the hating on Jason Carr. There are many others out there who might be nicer in person, but deserve a lot more criticism. Kevin Dietz and Guy Gordon certainly come to mind.
I think Jason will be okay. Loco 4 gets little sympathy from me. Take a look at the writing on the clickondetroit website sometime. Very bush league, to say the least.

Dont know how the ratings are from Live in the D but for me it eas unwatchable and a snooz fest. Fox2 morn blew it away Marielle aside.
Im hoping Carr lands back at Fox2. And give the Nine a needed boost. You could tell when he first landed at loco4 it wasnt the right fit.
Fox2 needs to rehire him imo.

Ranting about coworkers and naming names is the definition of creating a hostile work environment and doing on OTT is as unprofessional as you can get. He won't get hired by anyone locally to be on air again. Remember when LaDuff wanted to kick Carr's ass?

The state of local so-called news operations today. I get charged by the Oakland Press $14 a month to read about news that happened years ago. Waiting for them to tell me about the survivors on the Titanic.

As for [NBC] going to WADL, I’ve seen stranger things happen.
Again, this is just speculation. I wouldn’t think too much of this.
Stranger things, such as CBS buying then-WGPR channel 62 in 1995, which was the utter weakling amongst all Detroit / Windsor stations. They bought them, as there was no other choice.

I would watch out for WWJ-TV. CBS is paying a lot of money to get these hires. I mean, a lot of money. It’s possible that Jason Carr ends up there. Heard he wasn’t liked much at Fox 2. Question is, would Paul (News Director) be willing to make the risk? Carr is a high risk, yet high reward type of person.

Hes been given the boot at 2 and now 4. Coincidence or the start of a trend?

I rarely (if ever) invest in PPV events, but that's one I'd certainly be interested in. I think Scruffy LaDuffy would have a lot of backing in his corner!!
