Real question is who gets hurt. WOMC will lose share. I would guess WYCD and WDRQ will drop some. WDVD usually does but they are so low already...

Good for them. They can take their corporate playlist and shove it up their ass.
I got bored just looking at the last 2 hours of their recently played. Can't imagine listening.

Hope someone else flips this year and saves the airwaves.
This will be the 2nd year with no competition

Literally all I ever see on their facebook page every December are complaints about the 10 songs they play.
Music is my life.

I'm sorry. I just got the hiccups thinking of Jay Towers shoving two pieces of paper up his ass.

Hell yeah, nothing like Christmas music when it's going to be rainy and in the 70s tomorrow...Jesus Christ. They couldn't wait a couple of weeks?

Yep. I drove my work van home, windows down, blaring Christmas music. Then I unloaded it while wearing shorts and a t shirt.

I seem to recall the same thing happening when we flipped 105.1 in 2011. 75 degrees when we switched 3 days before Halloween.

Try being in Florida, where it's almost always a Buckley's chance of snow at any time of the year.

On a side note -- none of the retailers I patronize are playing Christmas tunes yet. The stores are being patient enough to wait until Black Friday -- why can't radio?

This is my first Christmas with Sirius XM and I've been enjoying the Holiday Traditions channel 71. They're playing all the pre-1970 Christmas music that I always hoped for from WNIC and never got.

But a funny thing happened along the way. The music on 71 sometimes gets a little too solemn, and I turn back to WNIC for the fun feeling that they create with their song choices and promos. It's especially enjoyable during this early December period when the pure fun of the Christmas season is at its peak.

So for me, WNIC is tolerable if:
  • It's not my only source of Christmas music.
  • I listen to it mostly as background music.
