Wow so sad. This all happened within a week. I remember listening to Jamie and Gregg back in the 90's on DFN when they came on right before Stoney and Wojo and always found him to be the middle of the road guy instead of the person throwing out fake anger and extreme opinions. That was the golden age of Detroit Sports Radio. RIP.

One of the few people on 97.1 whom I could respect.

I can only hope that he knew how everyone felt before.
If not.... he can look down and know it now.

So Sad. 48 is way too young to die. He seemed to handle his diagnosis and treatment very well. R.I.P Jamie.

Shocked and saddened to hear this. Jamie was great on the radio, as well as on Fox 2's "Lions Gameday Live" where I tuned in every week during the football season, to hear what he had to say about the Detroit Lions and the rest of the NFL. That show just won't be the same without him. Thoughts and prayers are with his family. Certainly gone too soon.

I was a Bill McAllister guy myself, but I hate to hear of anyone dying. I liked him doing post game shows though. RIP Jamie.

Most of us can tell the difference between a funeral and an Internet forum. I can give some nuance if you'd like.
Its sad what happened no question. But I imagine for many of us we didn't know him personally, he was just a voice on the radio.

Sounded like a good dude, sad for the kids! Too bad it couldn't have been Stoney. That creepy fuck makes me think he has some skeletons in his closet.
