Classic Rock is so wide open these days. I guess it depends on what demo they're going after. Us old farts still like our Hendrix, Zepplin, and the Doors.

Here's what you're going to get:
Journey
Queen
Foo Fighters
Tom Petty
Motley Crue
Metallica
Offspring
STP
Pearl Jam
Nirvana
Skid Row
Bad Company
Zeppelin
Billy Squier
AC/DC
Van Halen (no Sammy in sight again. Lovely.)
Here's what you're not gonna get:
All request hours
Speed metal
Lost AOR cuts
Deep cuts
So just don't.

Those artists are not "awful".
Radio just has played them into their grave.
Things are only good in moderation.
Name one really good song by Queen...

If you aren't a Queen fan, nothing I say will please you.
Why even ask that ?

Keep Yourself Alive
Tie Your Mother Down
Stone Cold Crazy
I'm In Love With My Car
Seven Seas of Rhye
Fat Bottomed Girls
Headlong
That's just off the top of my head. I'll think of more later.

Ugh I hate queen and Journey! blech...
I'd like to hear YES, like Your's is no disgrace, I've seen all good people, Starship trooper, and Roundabout. Maybe King Crimson(I know I know) once in awhile. Full length songs! Not edits!
Some others:
Uriah Heep- Stealin, Easy Living
Iron Maiden- The Trooper, Run to the hills, From here to eternity,

I want to hear "I've Seen All Good People'
I don't think this will fit in on 106.7 though at all.

Which begs the question: can there be different kinds of "classic rock", or must it always be a sliding scale with newer stuff added due to age? You might be able to coin a new term for stuff like Hendrix and the Doors. "First phase Classic rock"? "First Wave classic rock"? Considering "new wave" came out during the late-70s when a lot of that classic rock was still current, those terms could work. Though youd have to scrap all the Police tunes that classic rock has always played. Bostons "Dont Look Back" was released at a time when punk and groups like Blondie were hitting it big. So there is some chronological overlap but it could be a good dividing line for future "classic rock" programming to decide which direction to go.

Queen is another one of those bands where I can only do the deep cuts anymore. I was burned out on Bohemian Rhapsody when I was a kid...and then I worked in classic rock radio... Needless to say, it isn't on any of my iPods or music players. WWRY/WATC, AOBTD, BR... I'm good, thanks. The only band I want nothing to do with is Foreigner, and thus far, I haven't heard any on here. So there's that.

Mega, Sorry to tell you Foreigner is on the playlist heard some this morning, I’m in Seattle and been listening online and needless to say Foreigner, Def Leopard, Journey and REO Speedwagon all on the playlist and honestly the format has already repeated itself to about an 8 hour rotation.
