Ron Cameron
Re: Ron Cameron
Kurt needs a signature line. Like boom goes the dynamite.
Re: Ron Cameron
With Kurt doing play-by-play, there's no way Ron will take my call.

Re: Ron Cameron
Ron is aligning his commercials with Fox now and Kurt is the PBP guy.
Re: Ron Cameron
"Oh my goodness" is a good line for Kurt to appropriate.
Re: Ron Cameron
I want Ron to take my call so I can provide color commentary.

Re: Ron Cameron
"There isn't much Brandy doesn't eat". Have to admit, that was a good one
Re: Ron Cameron
If only Ron were himself svelte.
Kurt deserves half of that Peabody Award.

Re: Ron Cameron
No one’s calling, Ron, because you’ve exhausted your caller list for the day.

Re: Ron Cameron
Usually Keith calls in on Saturday but that's about it. Everyone of his regulars called in. The funny part was when Mark asked about Gary and Ron jumped in and said that Gary wants him to call in on his show where Gary never said that. It was Ron offering to call in tomorrow.
Re: Ron Cameron
Sure, it was Ron who initiated that discussion, but, in in his mind, he was the one offering to be a guest only because he knew Gary was too starry-eyed to think that he could get an A-list city slicker like Ron to appear on his little country radio show.

Re: Ron Cameron
So Ron pretty much told the emailers to take a hike cause he can't multi task. I only listened to the 1st hour which was an hour too much. I heard Ron throw shade at the buzzboard, which I know we've brought him listeners, so how dare he, so ungrateful.
Re: Ron Cameron
Well it’s a given Ron can’t multitask, but something else was going on yesterday. Akin to his frequent, lame excuse for not getting a guest (‘there’s so much to talk about’), his lame, first-time, excuse for not taking emails - that there was “no time,” while there was somehow time to take calls - was coupled with his first-time, repeated talk about a need to get a computer. But Ron (“I’m not a computer guy”) has never had a computer. Not long before the pandemic we learned only then that he had begun to access a computer at a library. He only started taking emails while on WDTK (& never then on WPON) when Alex set up an email account for him. When Alex wasn’t with him in the studio, he would call in with the email questions. Ron's subsequent sidekicks, including Martin, would later also tap this email account on their own. What changed yesterday? Did a put-upon Martin decide that he’s no longer going to provide this uncompensated service for an ungrateful Ron?
As to his previous disinterest in & his now pronounced disdain for this Board, you have to know that the vainglorious Ron, who otherwise laps up any possible attention (I recall once when Mark Wilson once mentioned a gathering of Detroiters in Las Vegas, Ron excitedly interrupted him to ask if they knew who he was), is clearly aware that, unlike, in general, his callers, we here are not exactly his cheering section.

Re: Ron Cameron
Ron probably thought that if he takes emails, then the phone wouldn't be able to get the score so he wanted the lane clear for the play by play.
Re: Ron Cameron
Looking forward to Ron’s cogent analysis of the results of the “Electrical” College.
