What's your nearest intersection where you live?
Packard and Platt.
Aw man, I miss Packard. I used to live right by that Lake Trust off Jewett. Those were the days.

Yeah, and the way I heard the joke, the Farmer's Daughter was named Snow.

Yep. And I used to go to Crossroads right there by Eisenhower on Friday nights for meetings. I miss AA until I hit traffic 😂

I guess you never been on snow packed gravel road, right after it starts raining?

I'm not upset. At all. I am HAPPY they were wrong. 6 inches is still way more than I wanted to fall, but I'll take it over a foot and a half. I would rather they overestimate and have less fall than the other way around. This way, we knew to plan for work stoppages and school closings. I know "better safe than sorry" doesn't mean anything in this country anymore, but I could go buy all those forecasters lunch 😂

What an idiot. Even when accounting for today's expected snowfall, actual totals everywhere other than the far western and northern reaches of their viewing area will be a good 4 to 6 inches less than channel 7's Tuesday forecast.

At my house, there is only five inches on the ground on the lawn. About an inch of snow melted as it fell yesterday morning. So, storm total so far of 6 inches (versus the 10 to 12 predicted by WXYZ).

Granted, Brandon Roux at WDIV did a much poorer job in forecasting.
Agreed. As mentioned earlier I am sitting at 5".
When I left my school bus job Tuesday evening they had only cancelled Wednesday at the time. I told a supervisor if we get the 10-15 inches they are talking about I wouldn't be able to get out of my cul-de-sac until a city snow plow comes through.
I get that the weather can be unpredictable but sometimes I think they are in the business of creating "panic" as much as forecasting weather.

As to the early wet snow reducing potential measured inches they had to know that was going to happen. It was warm enough to rain all night.
At my house the rain started to change to snow about 7:40 AM.

Thursday AM, WDIV is still cluttering up the screen with now largely wrong (and contradicted by their own forecasters) "What to expect" snowmageddon numbers from Wednesday (for every village, town, city, county and shire in the viewing area and beyond), and Closings, that, by 10am, do not need to be shown any longer, since everyone affected is home anyway.
Stop already.

I feel like they are now outright lying about the snow totals to CTAs.
I saw a banner on WDIV that said Ann Arbor got 6-9 inches. I refuse to believe anyone in town got 9 inches when I got 5.

The problem is they all get the forecasts from the same source (NWS), no one can think for themselves. That's why we get these Fuc*** up forecasts

Guy's have been lying about how many inches they've got for years.
New York and Chicago were all in with respect to their sanctuary status — until they were hit with the challenge of actually providing sanctuary. In other words, typical liberal hypocrisy.
