Something is going on with 1090. It's fed by a internet station called "dmd2 customizable radio made in Switzerland " music is all over the place. Interesting enough I heard a song I haven't heard on that frequency since it's beat Radio Days. Sylvester You make me feel (mighty real). I'm not sure if it was hacked or what's going on but I thought I would chime in.

I'm moving the automation computers to Garden City and hooking them up in the building. When I shut my Barix instreamer off, it reverted back to the default Barix radio feed. Regular programming should resume in about an hour. I just wanted something on there so there wasn't dead air.

Also, yes I was syndicating WCAR on WMFN as a test. That station will have a new format soon.

It would be cool if eventually you could have an app with all your stations available. You should look in to a Progressive Web App that converts the website into an app, no need for a native app through Apple or Google Play Store. Many websites have PWA capabilities through Google Chrome. It's the cheapest way to go for apps.

I know Aaron has been running around working his ass off, and I appreciate all he's doing so I believe he hasn't had the opportunity to work on the playlist for WCAR, but dang, this is not anywhere near an oldies station... music wise. Waaaay too much hard classic rock and nearly NO Motown. I'd say it's mostly 70s music every time I tune in. I have an elderly uncle who doesn't have internet or even cable. I've told him about the new station and he was overjoyed to finally have something worthwhile to tune into (he's a big fan of 50's and 60s). But he said I can't listen to it... I asked why? He said it's not oldies and it's aggravating to listen to because it's too hard. I reassured him that they are still working on it. I hope that is still the plan because I agree it's way too hard.

You're absolutely correct. I have listened for a few hours and no Motown, Classic Soul or Surf Music as advertised. This station should be heavy on 60s and very little 70s with the cut-off in the early 70s like the traditional oldies did back in the day. I also heard a lot of crap songs as well. Definitely a tune out factor. This station needs a good music person to guide it. 580 sounds so much better

I heard surf music earlier today on 1090. The music mix is far better than 580, which has an absurdly tight playlist.
