I’m not making that up. Earlier this year there were conservatives floating that and it’s come up again. Trump has floated it in speeches… all they would need is the Supreme Court to say ok. Another way would be to say the 22nd requires enabling legislation. There is recent precedent from the Colorado eligibility case that makes this line of thought plausible. And with no enabling legislation related to term limits just like that he’s running for a third term as long as the court says ok. If he’s able to add a Justice or two onto the court it becomes not so far fetched.

Your side opened this can of worms. I’m just talking about what they’ve said.

That person is arguing for repeal. But since that isn’t halo happening they’ll get the court to rule on it. But make no mistake… there is a faction on the right that wants this.

Probably not… but I don’t think that Will necessarily stop his supporters. I mean the guy who wrote that article I linked to went out of his way to say “82 isn’t that old and if the people are clamoring for more Trump then how can we possibly still be free and deny them their will?”.

There are loopholes in the 22nd amendment…
For example Trump as speaker or as VP candidate behind Vance and the folks in front of him resigning so he can be president again and he simply nominates Vance as VP. But the bottom line is that this Supreme Court has shown no qualms overturning precedent or interpreting things in whatever way it sees fit.
