Question about watching Detroit Pistons games in the Toledo area
Are there any Toledo stations/subchannels adding "The Spot TV" for Detroit Pistons coverage? In my location, near the Oh/Mi border, the only way I know of to get "Detroit-20" is with a strong outdoor antenna, or Fubo. I've had Fubo before and really don't want it again, especially since their price increase. I cannot get 20 from FRNDLYTV as I'm just out of range, according to my ip address.

Unfortunately, no Toledo market affiliate has been announced.

Thanks, MW. That's what I figured, as I put in my zip code and got nothing on the SPOTTV website. Oh well, still at least a month or two before the Pistons get going in the regular season.

Is Toledo even considered in-market for the Pistons? If they aren't, you may end up springing for an NBATV package or "sailing the high seas."

Based on the 75 mile rule, the Pistons are presumably subject to blackout on NBA League Pass in Toledo.
Sailing the high sails, as you put it, or purchasing a Pistons streaming subscription from DAZN for $20 a month are the best ways to watch TV-20 games in the Toledo market. A Toledo area viewer could also try signing up for a cheap streaming service that carries WMYD using a Monroe County zip code.

Detroit Pistons and Cleveland Cavs games have always been available in the Toledo area, going back to the old Fox Sports regional networks, through Bally Sports and Fan Duel. Thanks again, MW, I didn't know DAZN had such a subscription.

Regular season opener will air for free OTA on NBC.
It is a Tuesday matinee game against the Celtics.

As MW noted, there's not been an OTA station named for Toledo for the Pistons.
I just came across this press release from the Pistons, that listed all stations, and a link for DAZN:
https://www.nba.com/pistons/news/detroi ... o-schedule
"...the Pistons subscription on DAZN will be available as a standalone service and available as an add-on for existing DAZN subscribers. To sign up for more information, visit DAZN.com/pistons."
Thus, https://DAZN.com/pistons .
AND
"Local coverage of the Pistons by Scripps Sports will be accessible to the following markets: Grand Rapids (WXMI 17.2), Flint/Saginaw/Bay City (WNEM 5.2), Lansing (WSYM 47.2), Alpena (WBKB 11.4), Traverse City (WWTV 9.3/10.3/45.3) and Marquette (WJMN 3.3/5.3/10.3)."
I'm in the Grand Rapids market, using an antenna, and I plan on briefly tuning in WXMI 17.2 tonight for the first preseason game (7pm)--just to confirm that it's on. My household doesn't really have any big pro basketball fans, but it'll be cool to have this as a free option. My nephew a few miles away will definitely be using 17.2 from their antenna.
Heck, since WWMT Kalamazoo 3.4 is still broadcasting Chicago Sports Network (CHSN), it'll be especially fun when the Pistons and Bulls meet up, as I should be able to watch both telecasts free = without subscriptions. (We are bummed that CHSN blocks Blackhawks hockey games on WWMT 3.4, as there would be some NHL viewing happening, depending upon who Chicago is up against.)
Cheers! ~~ Statmanmi
