We're sorry that your maga hero thinks you're 60 years past when he'd be interested in blowing you.

Wrong.
Under New York’s law, people who became intoxicated by their own volition cannot claim they were “mentally incapacitated” and thus unable to consent during a sexual encounter, unless they can prove they were physically helpless.
That per the New York Times. https://archive.is/20261002171716/https ... 0-4575.228

Also, if you were right, I'm pretty sure about 1/3 of the male population would be in prison.

bmw wrote: ↑Fri Oct 02, 2026 1:13 pm Just from some of what I've heard and read, this is looking to turn into a giant political and media circus. Already we have AOC out there convicting the 7 accused. And Letitia James pretty much pre-judging the case on Twitter and then publicly refusing to comment on her own past comments.

Now I don't know if these 7 men are guilty of rape or not. If they are, let them rot. But preliminary indications are that their lives are already ruined and there's no way they're getting a fair trial.
Would you rather have the rapists walk? Are we not believing women any more?

Correct. There’s quite a few I wouldn’t trust in this forum.

I think the law could have different section for multiple people taking advantage of a severely intoxicated person.

For a couple that had a bit too much to drink during the course of an encounter, the law can stay the way it is.

Well that's a rather loaded question. And I already partially answered this. If they're found guilty in a court of law, then put them away. As to whether we're "believing women" or not, that totally depends on the totality of the evidence. Are you suggesting a woman's testimony, in a vacuum, should be enough to put a man in prison for life?

Great. Change it. But we're talking about the current case, which is bound to the law as it existed in 2024.

This woman took drugs drank in excessive quantities went to a frat house late at night and repeatedly asked to be included in a threesome. She's on the record two years ago saying she wasn't forced and now all of a sudden she changes her mind and the guys are guilty.

Answer this, if a guy went to a female frat house ask for threesomes several times and the ladies provided what he asked for any changed his mind in 2 years and said oh no no no I didn't do this willingly is anybody going to have a problem?

How about we s*** shame this woman she took drugs on her own free will she drank copious amounts of alcohol on her own free will and she asked, several times, to be g******* or at least in a threesome and she has no culpability? Blow me

Just because something is legally right does not make it morally right. The patriarchy has set the agenda, but there is a sea change coming. The idea that someone can consent to sex while drunk is asinine and evil. I would choose the bear over you.

I didn't say what they did was morally right. You keep putting words into my mouth. What I SAID was that this is rapidly turning into a media circus and is going to be politicized. I also pointed out that the law is what it is, whether you like it or agree with it or not.

Leftist politicians (and in particular, the "me too" movement) absolutely hate how badly they got humiliated over Duke LaCrosse. They've been waiting 20 years for a case like this, and they finally got one.

And re: Matt - as to Trump's remarks, he's saying exactly what I did, that they won't get a fair trial. That's far less egregious for a politician to say something like that (as he's only criticizing the process) than to come out and outright treat 7 people as if they're guilty.

It was only in December of 2024 that the accuser admitted she made the whole thing up.

For every Duke case, there are dozens if not hundreds of rapes that go unprosecuted.
