Variety has reported that Tony Romo and CBS Sports "mutually agreed to part ways" after Romo pleaded no contest to an operating while intoxicated charge. JJ Watt is to continue as the analyst on their A crew.

Sure, the DUI charge is being used as cover, but the real reason he and CBS "parted ways" is because he annoyed many viewers with his on-air antics and commentary style.

Also, he failed to keep up with the names of current players. He would say a player's number, because he didn't seem to know their name. When he started at CBS, he was sharp, fresh and entertaining. He got lazy and stale in the years since.
