I concur; great humorous amusing material. Shirley Booth would be proud.

As a young political junkie, I wasn't gonna miss an opportunity to stargaze at the Detroit Plaza Hotel when the GOP Convention came to town the summer of 1980. Cordoned off along with the other spectators, I would point out to my friend the many celebrities from the world of politics, political journalism & Hollywood I recognized. Among the Hollywood contingent was Don DeFore, Hazel's Mr B. Then very much in the twilight of his celebrity, he seemed genuinely surprised to hear his name excitedly yelled out by some random kid who still remembered him fifteen years after the series had wrapped. I guess I just have a thing for falling stars.
Re: Ron Cameron
Great story. The second Mr. B was O.K., but nothing like the first one. And the first Mrs. B (Whitney Blake) was in a class by herself in TV moms.Momo wrote: ↑Thu Oct 01, 2026 4:35 pmAs a young political junkie, I wasn't gonna miss an opportunity to stargaze at the Detroit Plaza Hotel when the GOP Convention came to town the summer of 1980.
