Terri DeBoer: exiting once again

If she makes it all the way to Congress, I hope she'll do a good job.

I agree that she's being propped up financially by somebody. My guess would be Terri Lyn Land and her hubbie, but I wouldn't rule out the DeVos family, either.

No chance, while she may try...there is simply NOTHING left to come crawling back to. If she wants to work weekends, holidays and nights for $45k... maybe.

I honestly wonder if Terri saw the writing on the wall at Fox17 and got the hell out of there when she could but being how Terry is pleasant on air, she used the retirement story to avoid ruffling feathers on Plaza Drive. Imagine if she said she was leaving because Scripps management sucked.

As for her crawling back, she's worked at three of the four stations in this market. And the news division of the one she hasn't worked at (WZZM) might merge with the one she worked at the longest (WOOD-TV).

I don't understand why so many people on this site always wonder why someone leaves ? The industry is crap, it's been going down hill for more than a decade. Fox 17's company sucks, true. Working with Kevin Craig was less than easy. Throw in the fact that she had to cover for him for multiple months when he was gone on medical leave. Oh yeah, she also has an opportunity to jump into a very easy job, getting paid to occasionally vote on some issues with Big Dutch money backing her. The better question is, Why WOULD she stay?

Terri has performed standup several times at my show. Once she told me that her goal was to be a comedian on a cruise ship. She worked clean and did well on stage. Judging from the latest polls online, safe to say her run for office will end in early November.
