That late shove after the Iowa player was out of bounds is inexcusable. As soon as that flag flew, I knew it was going to be a personal foul on Michigan.

I don't recall which player committed the infraction, but that dumbfuck cost his team the game.

Zeke Berry has been known for late hit penalties throughout his collegiate career.

Matt, you're about the only Michigan fan from whom I've read comments tonight blaming officiating for the loss. Inability to convert on a 1st & goal, stupid play calling on a 3rd & 5 in the late 4th quarter, missed INT opportunities on Iowa's last drive, and especially Zeke Berry's inexcusably stupid penalty are the main reasons Michigan lost.

Bad officiating goes both ways. Michigan got away with a clear defensive holding or P.I. penalty (I'm unsure if the ball was already in the air) right after the Berry penalty.

I agree with MCRF to a degree; given total time of possession and total yardage, Michigan should've been able to score more than 19 for the game. Not sure I'd call them frauds, though. Expectations weren't particularly high for this season.
