I only saw the middle innings then heard the rest of the game driving home from the Flint area (didn’t realize WQUS was the affiliate- originally tried scratchy 97.1). Dickerson was going nuts during the 8th.

Well that was fun. After that dreadful first inning, I switched over to an old movie, then returned to the game in time for the wild eighth inning.

I switched over to a couple episodes of Star Trek before switching back. I said, "What the....!"
I'll be watching the replay this morning.

Andrew Sears must be living a charmed life. He gives up six runs in the first inning last night, but his ERA drops from 5.40 to 5.19 because all of the runs are unearned.

In the games that he has started, the Tigers have averaged 8.33 runs a game. In his last two games, the Tigers have come back with eighth inning rallies to win 11-7 and 11-8.

Pittsburgh is going for its first winning record since 2018, so I doubt if Kelly will ask his players to take it easy on Verlander.
