What will the actual format for 1160 be?NESNerd427 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 19, 2026 11:45 am I appreciate all the signal reports! WCXI and WCAR are finally fixed and should be stable. Now that I'm not running around to sites, I can sit down and go through the WCAR library and get rid of the hard rock that's in there from WPON.
WCXI's official launch day is this Friday the 25th, sometime in the morning.
All accepted new registrations through 11:00p ET on September 19 have been activated. Accepted new registrations in the queue are activated on a weekly basis each Saturday. Terms of use are available here: https://www.mibuzzboard.com/phpBB3/ucp.php?mode=terms

Still classic hits. While I'm working on WCAR, I'm going to start programming some of the weekend specialty shows so they're ready by launch.

What are some of the specialty shows will they be 70s, 80s and 90s related?NESNerd427 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 19, 2026 12:15 pm Still classic hits. While I'm working on WCAR, I'm going to start programming some of the weekend specialty shows so they're ready by launch.

That's good news. A softer approach is better in my opinion. Would love a jukebox Saturday night show. Perhaps a request and dedication show (I know I'm living in the past).NESNerd427 wrote: ↑Sat Sep 19, 2026 11:45 am I appreciate all the signal reports! Sometimes late at night I'll tune up and down the AM dial. The other night I actually heard a good WCAR signal. Stopped and took a listen for a bit and enjoyed the music selection and the imaging.
Some music on AM sounds just right when you're hearing it in a single mono earplug with a pocket radio.
I can rarely hear 1460 in the car so maybe I'll give 1190 its button.

Requests via email would work. I don’t think they are going to pay someone to take live phone calls on a Saturday night.
The harder stuff (to a degree) may work on 1160. 1090 should stick with 60s and 70s pop and soul, along with the deeper and lower charting cuts I’ve been hearing.

NESNerd427, WCXI 1160 is streaming on Tunein are you also going to have WCAR 1090 on that app as well?

Yes, a stream for WCAR will be up this week.
