No More Friday Night 80s 101.5 The River

A place to go for those of you who wish to discuss happenings in OH, IN, IL, WI, and Ontario. OSU sucks, by the way.

No More Friday Night 80s 101.5 The River

Unread post by CD 94.7 »

I may be late to this, but I was over in T-town on Friday evening and noticed about 11pm 101.5 was playing Kelly Clarkston and was airing Delilah, nothing unusual about that but then I remembered it was Friday, which on Fridays 101.5 for years had Friday night 80s. Which they picked up when 105.5 dropped their Friday night 80s around like 2010.

So when did 101.5 dump Friday 80s? just curious.

I formerly had an office job that played the River 24/7 except they'd switch it to WRQN in November because everyone agreed it was too early for Christmas music when the River would flip early in the month. In fact one time me and a coworker who were dreading the oncoming Christmas flip realized something was wrong because they were playing No Doubt in the afternoon on a Friday instead of 80s and sure enough right at 5 pm we heard All I Want For Christmas Is You.

Anyway, they were still doing the Friday 80s except for the holiday season when I left that job in April of last year, so sometime between now and then. Just probably part of cutting everything else to the very bone.
