WNZK now heard on 93.5FM

Looks like WNZK/Birach Broadcasting has taken on the translator at 93.5FM. I noticed the last 5 or so days that 93.5FM was dead air. I tuned in this morning and just happened to hear the TOH ID.

Yup, got that up and running yesterday. An antenna upgrade and slight pattern adjustment is coming soon as well.

How deep of a null to the west does it have to protect WHMI?

Super deep to the NW. I live about 7 miles from the TX site and cannot pick up the station at all. If I drive a mile east, it comes in audibly in the car but remains weak. If I drive about four miles east, the signal is much better.

I get WHMI at full strength at 93.5. So much for WNZK's choice of translator frequencies.

Never been able to hear that translator once here. CBCL and WRQN sometimes battle WHMI during tropo, but never the translator.

Birach Broadcasting is likely primarily concerned with reaching Dearborn, Hamtramck, and Warren with this translator. It suits that purpose fairly well.

They probably would like Sterling Heights, too. 93.5 can be picked up decently in the far southern part of the city.
