93/94 have to be records for September. The hottest September I remember was 1992 when it reached upper 80s in our classroom with no air conditioning.

Surprisingly no. 25 of the first 26 days in September feature a record high above 90. All but three of those occurred BEFORE 1975. We have hit exactly 100 3 times in September. The latest date in the month was September 15th which happened in 1939.
