Unsure if this is the appropriate section to post this, but I'm seeing in several FB groups that longtime DJ and Sirius XM 70s on 7 voice Ron Parker passed away unexpectedly last Friday (August 28). He was 71 and had been battling cancer, and he passed after what was described as a brief illness.

As the post mentions, his DJ career took him from WQXI/Z93 Atlanta to WLCY Tampa, KKBQ and KLDE Houston, KFRC San Francisco, ABC Radio in Dallas, WCBS-FM New York and WLS-FM Chicago — plus years entertaining the whole country on SiriusXM’s ’50s, ’60s and ’70s channels. He most recently could be heard doing his Sirius shows from his home base in Texas.

I saw this online as well. Definitely saddened to hear it. I'm familiar with him through SiriusXM and always enjoyed his work. One of those guys who sounded completely at home no matter what channel he was on.
