If she could pull off that same magic as a Governor I think it would be good for that state overall.
I do have one small minor beef with the SOS. They want me to use the kiosk instead of going to the counter. Fine.
How about waiving the "convenience fee" for the one that is inside the SOS?
I'm not grumbling about the self serve kiosk's inside the Kroger or other retail places.
Just the one inside the SOS. The one the SOS receptionist points at and says I have to use when I want to renew my plate or license.
Isn't the "convenience fee" for using a credit card? Don't you have to pay that if you have an agent at the SOS renew your plates or license too?
If we wants to pay by check or cash, he can do this too.

My point was this:
We can't just stroll up to the counter of the Secretary of State and renew our plates or drivers license anymore.
Have to either make an appointment for next week, or use the kiosk.
I'm just thinking if the only way to same day renew at the SOS is the kiosk, any convenience fee for using it should be waived. It don't take cash btw.

I don't miss the days of "strolling up to the counter" and waiting in line without any sort of placeholders, potentially for hours. Be done with those days, hopefully never to return.

I never had to wait long. I would always go 10 minutes before closing time.

I haven't had to walk into the SOS since before COVID. I just got a new custom plate and did it all online. She made it so convenient that you somehow have a problem with the convenience.

Why would you stroll up to the counter when you can do it all online without leaving the house?
Also, why would you wait until the last minute to make same-day renewal even necessary?

The questions answer themselves if you consider he is a fan of James.
