Where's Victor??

For some time, home improvement outfit "Victor's Home Solutions" has been permeating the local (Detroit) airwaves, and uses other opportunities to display the brand, like the infield tarp at Comerica.
The TV spots have opened with and featured "...Victor, da owner of Victor's Home Solutions."
Victor, who bears a slight resemblance to Mr. Clean, and speaks with a slight, perhaps eastern European accent, has, until the past week or two, been the on-camera spokesperson for the eponymous company.
Suddenly, now, we see "Eric, for Victor's Home Solutions" doing the pitch. Who is this "Eric?" What has happened to Victor? Has he been kidnapped, fallen out of a window, retired to Boca, failed a focus group test?
Needing some roof repair and trim work last fall, as part of my comparison shopping I had them provide an estimate. Found their quote to be considerably higher than others. Some others in the neighborhood used them, were satisfied with the work.

My neighbor recommends them. We get single sheet flyers all the time with a local "586" phone number. Perhaps the company is utilizing local supervisors in their advertising.

Victor’s is (was?) based in Canton, I’m used to a 734 number.

And yes, Victor is from Eastern Europe. Either Russia or Ukraine, I don’t remember offhand. He moved here as a child I believer.

I was listening briefly to WBBM (780 AM, but they won't admit to that), and heard a spot for, yes,
Victor's Home Solutions. So I guess he's testing other markets.

They began advertising in Grand Rapids pretty heavily either earlier this year or last year.

I've only seen the spots with Victor himself. I don't think he looks like Mr. Clean at all, by the way.

Contractors with high advertising budgets almost always charge more, sometimes much more. I will say I've seen his company do roofing for one or two homes in my immediate neighborhood, and the finished product looked nice.

Victor's does a great job. Everyone I know is happy with the work. As far as cost, yeah they are probably higher than just about anyone. Some folks don't mind that. And of course they offer low monthly payments financing which is a big draw for someone with an urgent need for a roof.

For what it's worth to anyone here, I'm having a new roof installed by Victor's tomorrow. I'll give my impressions of the experience afterward. So far I've been impressed by the professionalism on the parts of all involved, both at my home and on the phone. Their overall "mantra" seems to be "quality over quantity", and yes, it's reflected in the price.

Looks great, very pleased! The crew worked most efficiently. Some big wood needed replacing which was at no extra charge, and they renailed a piece of siding into place which was blown loose by the 70mph gusts we experienced recently.

The dumpster trailer was picked up around 10:30 this morning, completing a very seamless experience.

Thanks for the update. Starting to see an issue around my back door that may be roof related. Or a leak around the vent pipe. I'm not mechanically literate enough to tell. Got a feeling Springtime is going to be contruction time at the old homestead. Probably will call Victor. Myself, I'd rather pay more for a known name, as opposed to some "one truck" company working out of his garage. Yeah it will cost me more. But it is what it is.

Victor, the owner of Victor's Home Solutions, has reappeared.
Saw him on Wheel of Fortune on WDIV March 4.

Maybe he spent the winter in Florida, but has came back north to reset his clocks to Daylight Saving Time.
Victor's viceroy, "Eric," can return to the Roof Inspector Corps.

Especially if you see Mr. One Truck dropping off and picking up the kids every day in the "company" truck.
Gotta wonder how many hours a day they are going to actually be on your job.
