He is most absolutely dead wrong for exactly the reasons you mention.Circle Seven wrote: ↑Fri Jul 24, 2026 11:54 amYou just may be mistaken about that. The morning shift means not having to skip events with the family.
There is a fair amount of folks in front of the camera in the morning that want no part of missing their kid's sports or recitals or school plays, etc.

Re: Fox 2
What was everyone's feelings about FOX2's continuous live coverage of the hubbub outside Dearborn's Henry Ford Centennial Library last night?
I saw a guy trip and slip down some stairs and the FOX2 crew jumped on it as a possible prelude to violent physical conflict!
Overall, I suppose the coverage "painted a picture" of the scene: A lot of loud anti-Islam rhetoric and counter-rhetoric, angry often hateful signs, and not-so-subtle visual symbols, especially the guys in clown costumes. There were a few swatikas, a lot of American flags, a few references to 9/11, and mostly a lot of mugging for the cameras.
When the City Council meeting inside the library finally commenced, it was mostly business as usual for such meetings. There were a few sincere and often heartfelt citizen comments.

Ingrid Kelley's reporting on Tuesday seemed to go a little to exaggerated. She just keep going on repeating the same lines over and over again. I couldn't wait for someone to push her out of the way. By 8:30 I just decided to watch something else.

I don't think she's been on for QUITE a while now.
Just ran across some posts of hers on other SM. (not looking for them, they just popped up maybe because I've responded to 'FOX2" posts?) She seems to be doing fine and living up the life, yet somehow still not able to work??
Wonder if they're paying her anything or if she figured out how to live off some government checks somehow.
Maybe Fox2 should see if she can come back to do the traffic reports. She can use those mile-long nails to point out the problem intersections on the map!
Re: Fox 2
Last I heard she had recently undergone serious foot surgery. She's do back at Fox 2 soon.km1125 wrote: ↑Sat Aug 22, 2026 9:53 amI don't think she's been on for QUITE a while now.

Was the news director fired, or quit like two of the other posts state?tommatinmichigan wrote: ↑Mon Aug 24, 2026 3:46 pm Taryn Asher.
News Director fired.
Hank Winchester.
General Manager suddenly resigns.
Fox in Grand Rapids (not Detroit) is Scripps and sinking due to cutbacks unclear if rantings were driver in Detroit or Asher connected.
Winchester was at 4, how does that relate to Fox2?
I'm wondering if the news director quitting and Kelli Rowe stepping away at nearly the same time are related at all?

They’re all jumping from a sinking flaming garbage scow of a station. Would you want to deal with Marielle Lie, Charlie Langton, Ryan Ermani, Augmentation Amy Andrews, Derek Kreepvra, etc? If the WJBK studios were in a high rise they’d probably have jumped out a window.

Why resign unless he is jumping to better market after 1 year.

Not jumping to another station/market, leaving on his own, by choice.tommatinmichigan wrote: ↑Mon Aug 24, 2026 8:44 pm Why resign unless he is jumping to better market after 1 year.
My hunch. Same with Mr Ellis at TV4 “sudden resignation”

I'd be willing to bet money the Taryn Asher saga is the cause, and I'm not so sure this decision was purely by his own choice.
