Big Bad Jake Rogers made his first MLB plate appearance outside of a Tigers uniform with the Orioles last night.
Most surprising - NOT - he grounded into a double play. Those Orioles must be beyond desperate to be sure.

Re: Ron Cameron
Jake Rogers made his first start for the Orioles Saturday night. He went 0-3 with two strikeouts. You have to say though the guy is consistent. He consistently stinks. And lets touch on the Skubal fire sale. ESPN gave the Dodgers an A and the Tigers a D for the transaction. Its way too early but it does have the feel of the Verlander move nine years ago. If the Tigers had any type of clue they would have shopped Skubal around over the winter and took the best perceived deal which certainly would have been sweeter than what they ended up with. Chris Ilitch still waiting for his mother to pass so he can sell the club. But at least he still has to pay his coveted free agent Javier Baez for a while longer. Brilliant.
Re: Ron Cameron
Jake Rogers didn't last long as an Oriole. He was included in the Adley Rutschman trade to the Red Sox.

I've started listening to a Tigers podcast (Tigers Daily) that's hosted by a guy named Lou Gamelin. He's got an old school style, and avoids the fan boy enthusiasm and nerd stats that you find on other Tiger podcasts.
Today he mentioned that his day job is delivering soft drinks, which somehow reminded me of Ron's unique mixture of sports talk radio and other ways of making money.

Big Jake Rogers is off to a stellar start with his latest team the White Sox. One for ten with four strikeouts. Even Bruce Kimm didn't suck at the plate as bad as this guy.......
A walk-off homer for Jake last night. Goes to show you anything can happen in this life.....of course he did make an out his other three plate appearances which is the norm
