And I love (heavy sarcasm) what Cumulus does to fill behind these cuts;

A part timer/ weekender now doing mid days on Z93 (cheaper on salary, I guess)
An obvious voice tracker, Ali Aaron, doing afternoons on WIOG
Z93’s Adam now voice tracking afternoons on WHEELZ 104.5
Z93’s PD Matt now the PD of WHEELZ

Sad state of affairs there. Classic case of doing more with less…

As long as The Morning After show doesn't suffer because of the extra work load! It's one of the few radio shows I can stand to listen to in the mornings.
Dropping knowledge on forum MAGAts (where DID they all go??).

Completely agree! Besides the Tigers and Lions, it’s the only non satellite radio program I’ll listen to in my personal vehicle

Rachael Geddes is now broadcasting from Saginaw on CK105 starting at 10am. There are no live jocks at CK.

Now voice tracking middays at Z93 is Cassiday Proctor, the morning jock at Buffalo’s 103.3 The Edge. I’ve listened to her since she started Thursday - she’s good, really good

Sorry to bump an old thread but I just read this on radioinsight.com.

Tim Brandow departs as Production Director and midday host at Classic Rock “Wheelz 104.5” WILZ Saginaw MI. He rejoined the station in 2012 following a brief stint in Mobile AL with a total of over 40 years in the Saginaw market.

It’s from the “you gotta be kidding me” files. If Connisour or McDonald Broadcasting were smart, they’d hire him quickly.

It'll be interesting to see how long Connoisseur keeps its low rated alternative stations around. Softening the music and adding recent singles has sent 106.3's ratings into the toilet. 101.5 in Dayton is doing even worse (much worse, in fact) than the Saginaw station.

Saginaw is a rust belt blue collar city. Playing Myles Smith and Daft Punk alongside Nirvana and Alice in Chains is a recipe for failure.

A flip to classic rock might make some sense. A flip to a simulcast of WXYT-FM might make sense, too. Adult Hits or Retro Hits (90s/00s) might be options to consider.

It also wouldn't surprise me if Connoisseur is quietly shopping its Saginaw stations. They don't seem very interested in hanging onto small market stations acquired from Alpha. They've already sold a few clusters acquired from Alpha. I wonder if Black Diamond, Krol or MacDonald Broadcasting would be interested?

Chires (Black Diamond) might be interested, I doubt Ken Jr. (McDonald) would touch them.

Out of the 4 formats listed there, a flip to a Ticket simulcast would be the most interesting and make the most sense. Retro hits is second, adult hits / hot AC is what they were originally before flipping to the Core. I don’t see them flipping to classic rock at all UNLESS it’s a SXM Turbo like format with 90’s /2000’s hard rock.

Kind of wish Krol or someone else would buy either them or the Cumulus Saginaw cluster, which the corporation is doing a disservice to with all their cuts
